Google has many different entities that when used together can help improve a website’s positioning.

Google stacking is the act of linking a Google entity or Google asset such as a Google Site to another Google entity, for example a Google Sheet, for the purpose of increasing authority around the subject entity (ie. entity authority) and that entity’s related domain (website) and Google My Business listing.

The Results

This is a new addition to my portfolio and is introduced after 4 months of testing. I always want to be sure that any service I offer works which gives me the confidence to push it to a potential buyer. I develop long term relationships with clients and that simply wouldn’t happen if I were to provide poor products.

I have 5 test sites detailed below. Screenshots were taken from Ahrefs (a third party SEO tool) to record positioning before the Google Stacks were put in place. The follow up screenshots ae also from Ahrefs…

Site 1 – Flossy Hair Salon

The screenshot was taken on 27th May. The website ranked for 7 keywords/phrases – I created stacks around the 6 relevant ones:

  1. hair salon Blackburn
  2. hairdressers Blackburn
  3. hair salons Blackburn
  4. Blackburn hairdressers
  5. hairdressers in Blackburn
  6. beauty salon Blackburn

The screenshot below was taken on the 15th November. The site is now ranking for 21 keywords/phrases:

Site 2 – AK Hair

The screenshot was taken on 29th May. The website ranked for 13 keywords/phrases – I created stacks around 8:

  1. hair salon Blackpool
  2. hairdressers Blackpool
  3. hairdressers in Blackpool
  4. hair salons Blackpool
  5. recommended hairdressers blackpool
  6. blackpool hairdressers
  7. beauty salons blackpool
  8. beauty salon blackpool

The screenshot below was taken on the 15th November. All 8 keywords/phrases show great improvements:

Site 3 – Vici Hall

The screenshot was taken on 16th June. The website ranked for 19 keywords/phrases – I created stacks around 5:

  1. hair dressers derby
  2. hairdressers derby
  3. derby hair salon
  4. hair salon derby
  5. mobile hairdressers derby

The screenshot below was taken on the 15th November. Again we see huge gains on the phrases used. The site now ranks for 40 phrases against 19 when starting:

The screenshot was taken on 21st June. The website ranked for 7 phrases  – I created stacks around all of them:

  7. boiler repairs preston

The screenshot below was taken on the 15th November.  Positive movement on 6 out of 7 keywords/phrases (the 7th no change):

The screenshot was taken on 20th June. The website ranked for 6 relevant phrases and one not so relevant – I created stacks around 4:
